SWINE FLU - MYTHS AND FACTS

Although the flu has captured the international community's imagination, it is quite important to remove all fallacies from our fickle minded sentimentality. Firstly, this flu not only a medical problem but also a social one. The media will try it's best to inject hysteria into the public and create a situation wherein everyone would feel helpless and a potential victim of this dreaded ailment. At the same time certain news channels shall also try to paint a very brave picture of the the public by showing how resilient they are and are expected to be. Recently a news channel showed a group of youngsters dancing in a pub wearing masks . Now, judge the situation yourselves. Are those youngsters fools or heroes for walking into a pub to dance and drink, of course with the three layer-masks on. At this point i would also like to say something about the alleged controversial statements by the health minister. our health minister is perhaps the only person i have seen who has not made bureaucratic commitments over the issue. He is being targeted for doing that. No channel has devoted even a single minute tracking down those who tested positive but recovered after taking the proper treatment. Even the normally vociferous Baba ramdev is abnormally quiet over the issue, for this time his so called magical potions can't prevent the calamity from taking a heavy toll. The only thing which can save us now is the complete closure of all those institutions whose existence is dispensable at least in the short run.
Given the state of affairs which exists in our education sector, i don't think a month long vacation in schools and colleges would mar anyone's chances of graduating as Einstein.
So let us use our grey cells and and take small steps which will dramatically improve the grim situation which faces us.
